The new home for esports in Ireland
Establishing in the heart of Cork City, the National Esports Centre is set to open in August 2024. This premier destination for national esports will be a cornerstone of the Irish esports ecosystem, fostering an inclusive community and developing the skills of esports enthusiasts.
Already home to the National Governing Body, Ireland’s leading Professional Team, the WYLDE Academy powered by Virgin Media, and the country’s first SIM Lounge, the Centre is expanding rapidly.
This 8,000+ square foot facility represents both the culmination of Ireland’s growing esports community and a catalyst for future development. It will provide a sustainable, long-term hub for the industry, offering young people a space to develop their skills, explore career opportunities, and engage with the community.
The National Esports Centre is powered by WYLDE, supported by their legacy of player and content creator engagement, competitive success and industry experience. Given the pace of technological development and the surge of esports as an industry, we are committed to learning and growing to provide our best standard of support to the community.

We are thrilled to announce our official partnership with the critically acclaimed tactical first-person shooter, Ready or Not. This collaboration brings a unique opportunity for our community to engage with one of the most intense and realistic gaming experiences available today. Ready or Not sets the standard for immersive gameplay, demanding strategy, precision, and teamwork—qualities that are at the heart of the National Esports Centre’s philosophy. Together, we aim to elevate the esports experience, offering exclusive events, training sessions, and tournaments that will challenge and inspire players at every level.
Ireland Esports
Our aim is to promote esports across Ireland and increase the level of awareness, improve standards and inspire future talent. We are focused on the grassroots level of esports and are not a governing body. As a not for profit organization, all revenues generated go back in to running the organization, and into funding grassroots esports, including supporting community groups and schools engage with the grassroots esports community.
WYLDE
Created by the convergence of gaming, entertainment and a competitive performance culture, WYLDE is an esports club with global ambition. Co-owned by the Greatest Of All Time Olympic Gold Medallist and World Champion, Usain Bolt, WYLDE was founded by Steve Daly and David Cronin. WYLDE is truly worldwide, with headquarters in Ireland, deep roots in the Caribbean and representing winning teams and professional players across Europe.
